Transit Stop Information Services

Overview

'Transit Stop Information Services' furnishes transit users with real-time travel-related information at transit stops, multi-modal transfer points, and other public transportation areas. It provides transit users with information on transit routes, schedules, transfer options, available services, fares, and real-time schedule adherence. In addition to tailored information for individual transit users, it supports general annunciation and/or display of imminent arrival information and other information of general interest to transit users.

Requirements

01 The public interface for travelers shall collect and provide real-time travel-related information at transit stops, multi-modal transfer points, and other public transportation areas.
02 The public interface for travelers shall collect and present to the transit traveler information on transit routes, schedules, and real-time schedule adherence.
03 The public interface for travelers shall provide support for general annunciation and/or display of imminent arrival information and other information of general interest to transit users.
04 The public interface for travelers shall present information to the traveler in a form suitable for travelers with physical disabilities including travelers who are visually impaired.
05 The public interface for travelers shall allow the traveler to request the transit vehicle at the transit stop.
06 The public interface for travelers shall allow a traveler to provide a trip request and ask for connection protection for the trip.
07 The public interface for travelers shall provide the number of passengers entering and exiting a transit vehicle.
